Today, as we gather to celebrate the Fiesta de Iligan, let us take a moment to reflect on the blessings we have received throughout the years. We celebrate not just the vibrant culture and traditions that make Iligan City unique, but also the strength, resilience, and unity of our people. This celebration is a time to give thanks to the Almighty for the protection and grace that we have been afforded, and to honor our patron saint, Sr. San Miguel, who has always been a beacon of guidance and protection for our community.

The Feast of St. Michael the Archangel is an occasion deeply rooted in faith and devotion. It is a celebration of not only the power of our patron saint but also the enduring strength that we, as Iliganons, draw from our shared faith. St. Michael, a great leader of the heavenly army, is revered for his strength, courage, and dedication to protecting the faithful. Throughout history, he has symbolized a powerful force for good, guarding us from calamities, disasters, and any form of evil. It is his continued protection that allows us to gather today in a spirit of thanksgiving and joy.
